Tribe Game

Yesterday i went for baseball game at Jacobs Field. The games was between Cleveland Indians and the Oakland Athletics. The game was crucial for both teams who are both in contention for the WildCard spot alongside the 'New York Yankees. And thankfully enough, the tribe (The Cleveland Indians are also known as the 'The Tribe')won the game with Ben Broussard hitting two homers which counted for 5 runs. He launched a two-run homer to tie the game in the seventh, and his three-run drive in the eighth put us ahead. The victory kept the Indians one game ahead of the New York Yankees and moved them 2.5 ahead of the A's in the American League wild-card race.

There was even a power outage (a 21 minute power failure) in the middle of the game when the lights got turned off. I guess the break in play was good for us, since Ben came out all firing and struck two mighty blows to give us the victory by a 5-2 margin.

It was an interesting experience, attending the game. There was a fair capacity crowd, considering it was on a weekday evening. Most importantly everyone went home happy that the home team won. It was also interesting to compare how fans and crowd behaviour was compared to cricket fans back home. There really wasnt much of a difference, except that i feel crowds back home are more vociferous. Passion however is pretty much the same. Acts of Silliness were aplenty among the crowd and this added to fun. So thatz how my first baseball game experience went. The sweet tinge of victory for the team i supported made the experience all the more memorable !!!
