Dining out in style
Shwetha and Me decided to try out a nice 'dine in' restaurant every week. Over the last couple of months, some of the places we went to were Olive Garden, IHOP, TGIF, Max & Erma and Carrabbas. Also dont forget to check out the picture album i just posted.
Olive Garden
The Olive garden is a great place to eat,and has a excellent wine list,in addition to their own in-house wine. They offer samples of new dishes, and the bread and salads are delicious. They have a large variety of Italian dishes, all of them are large portions, colorful. Besides the excellent service, the food is awesome.
International House of pancakes
IHOP (as it is popularly known) has a wonderful breakfast type menu. Pancake or French Toast breakfast stacks with decadent, freshly-baked cinnamon roll flavor. And the prices go easy on the pocket as well which makes eating there even more fun. I expect to be going there many more times.
Thank God Its Friday
The food at TGIF, which is an acronym for the famous saying "Thank God It's Friday", a phrase meant to express the exasperation of a work week finally ended, was bistro food with a flair. The intimation in the chain's name is that this is the place to go for fun and a happening drink, a fine way to begin the cherished weekend. Their cuisine is just divine.
Carrabbas
This was a restaurant which i have been meaning to visit for a long long time. The first time we went there the 90 minute wait put us off and we ended up going to Max And Ermas. Reliable and lively, Carrabba's is somehow one of a kind, although it's really a link in a national chain. The tables and booths provide a more relaxed ambience and a more intimate setting. Our bartender/waitress was both friendly and efficient. The ritual dish of olive oil and herbs accompanied by crusty bread was part of the package.
Max And Ermas
The original Max and Erma's opened for business in 1972 in Columbus, Ohio. Now, more than 30 years later, the Midwestern chain boasts more than 60 restaurants in 12 states, including five right here in the greater Indianapolis area. Each Max and Erma's possesses its own unique atmosphere and decorative flair, and the menu remains fresh.
