Orkut Easter Egg
Since Easter is around the corner and considering the amount of time i spend on orkut recently, i thought i'd share an Easter Egg in orkut which can be used to play a mean prank.
What an Easter Egg is
If you are wondering what is an Easter Egg ?In the context of software (get that Cadbury Bunny out of your head!), an Easter Egg is a hidden feature or novelty that the programmers have put in their software. In general, it is any hidden, entertaining thing that a creator hides in their creation only for their own personal reasons. This can be anything from a hidden list of the developers, to hidden commands, to jokes, to funny animations. You'd be surprised just how many things contain Easter Eggs. Windows is a prime example for Easter Eggs.
A true Easter Egg must be Undocumented, Hidden, and Non-Obvious Reproducible Put There by the Creators for Personal Reasons Not Malicious ENTERTAINING!
The Easter Egg In orkut i am describing is a hyperlink.. Clicking the hyperlink shows up the profile of who ever is logged in. Well what's the big deal in that, you might say. Well paste the link in any person's scrapbook with the tagline (Worst Scrap Ever). Considering human curiousity, people will follow the link irrespective if the link was meant to them. Immediately they are shocked to see their own profile. The prank basically plays on the insecurities of the person and they begin to wonder why their profile was ranked as the worst ever by a complete stranger. I have known people who immediately go their profiles and look to see if something stickts out so bad and re-check their album pictures. Others retort to spamming the sender's scrapbook. All in all a mean prank to play. Have fun playing with it, all of you orkut freaks !!!http://www.orkut.com/Profile.aspx?2uid=3849827725404266552.

Hey panta, The problem in the url is with "2uid", it should be "uid" for it to point to a actual user's profile. Otherwise, I assume it takes you to the "profile" page, which by defualt shows your own profile. And yes, I had seen it floating some time ago and was taken aback when I clicked it :D..
